Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, using the Trame platform, or accessing any Trame service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and any other policies or guidelines we publish.
If you are using Trame on behalf of a studio, agency, or other organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use Trame.

Trame is provided as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform accessible via web browser and mobile devices.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Trame.
You must be a human individual or a legitimately registered business. Automated account creation is not permitted.
You must provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep your account information current.
Trame is available globally, with primary support for Nigerian Naira (NGN) payments. Paystack payment features are available in countries supported by Paystack. Stellar payments are available globally.
Account Registration
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Do not share your login credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
If you suspect unauthorised access, contact support@trame.app immediately.
One Account Per Person
Each person or business may maintain one account. Duplicate accounts may be merged or removed.
Accurate Information
You must provide your real name, a valid email address, and accurate information about your creative practice. False information may result in account termination.
Google OAuth
Trame uses Google OAuth for authentication. By signing in with Google, you authorise Trame to access your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. We do not access your Gmail, Drive, or other Google services through OAuth unless you explicitly connect those integrations separately.
Subscription Plans and Payment
Plans
Trame offers three subscription tiers:
- Free — limited features, no payment required
- Pro — expanded features, monthly subscription
- Studio — full platform access including team tools, monthly subscription
Plan pricing, features, and limits are published on the Trame pricing page and are subject to change with 30 days' notice.
Billing
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payment is processed via Paystack. By subscribing, you authorise Trame to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
Free Trial
Where a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription automatically at the end of the trial period unless cancelled.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused subscription time.
Refunds
Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact billing@trame.app within 14 days of the charge.
Price Changes
We will notify you at least 30 days before any price increase. Continued use of Trame after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.
Platform Fee and Payouts
Platform Fee
Trame charges a platform fee on payments processed through the platform (invoices, change orders, session bookings). The current platform fee rate is published in your account settings and may be updated with 14 days' notice to existing users.
Direct Settlement
When a creative has connected a bank account via Paystack Subaccount, client payments settle directly into the creative's registered bank account, minus the platform fee, at the time of payment. Settlement timing is subject to Paystack's settlement schedule and your chosen settlement frequency.
Stellar Payments
Stellar blockchain payments (USDC/XLM) settle on-chain within seconds. The platform fee is deducted before settlement. Blockchain transaction fees (network fees) are separate from Trame's platform fee and are standard Stellar network costs.
No Payout Account
If a creative has not connected a bank account, client payments are held by Trame pending account setup. Trame is not responsible for delays in receiving funds caused by failure to set up a payout account.
Disputes Between Creative and Client
Trame is not a party to the financial agreements between creatives and their clients. Payment disputes are the responsibility of the creative and client to resolve. Trame may assist where possible but has no obligation to mediate or refund payments between third parties.
Your Content and Intellectual Property
You Own Your Work
All creative work, project files, briefs, client deliverables, invoices, notes, and other content you create or upload to Trame remains your property. Trame does not claim ownership over any creative work you produce.
Licence to Trame
By uploading content to Trame, you grant Trame a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. This licence terminates when you delete the content or close your account.
Trame's Intellectual Property
The Trame platform, including its design, code, AI features, brand, and all associated materials, is owned by Trame (Peakgram Studio) and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Trame platform without our express written permission.
Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Trame, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use that feedback without any obligation to compensate you.
Client Content
Your clients retain ownership of the content they submit (brief answers, feedback, uploaded reference files). You are responsible for having the appropriate rights and permissions to use client-provided content in your work.
Client Relationships
You Are the Service Provider
Trame provides infrastructure for managing your client relationships. Trame is not your employer, agent, partner, or contractor. The contract for creative work exists between you and your client, not between your client and Trame.
Scope Agreements
Briefs approved on Trame serve as scope anchors within the platform. Their legal enforceability as contracts between you and your clients depends on the laws of your jurisdiction and the specific agreements you have in place outside of Trame. We recommend supplementing Trame's brief system with a formal written contract with your clients.
Change Orders
Change orders generated by Trame are tools to help you communicate scope changes professionally. Their enforceability as binding agreements depends on your client's acceptance and applicable law. Trame does not guarantee that change orders will be enforceable.
Client Privacy
You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and process your clients' personal data through Trame. You must inform your clients that you use Trame to manage project work, and you must comply with applicable data protection laws in your jurisdiction when handling client data.
AI Features — Terms of Use
AI Accuracy
Trame's AI features are powered by Anthropic's Claude API and are designed to assist your workflow. AI-generated content — including scope flags, change orders, brief summaries, and call notes — may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before sharing it with clients or relying on it for business decisions.
Not Legal or Financial Advice
AI-generated change orders, scope flags, and pricing recommendations are workflow tools, not legal or financial advice. For legal or financial matters, consult a qualified professional.
Content Restrictions
You must not use Trame's AI features to generate content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, discriminatory, or otherwise in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
AI Rate Limits
AI feature usage is subject to per-tier rate limits. Excessive usage that degrades platform performance for other users may result in temporary restriction or account review.
Data Sent to AI
By using AI features, you acknowledge that the relevant project content is processed by Anthropic's Claude API. Do not input highly sensitive personal data (government IDs, financial account credentials, medical records) into AI-powered features.
Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Use Trame for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Impersonate any person, business, or entity
- Create fake client profiles, fake projects, or fraudulent invoices
- Manipulate the waitlist through automated or fraudulent referrals
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts, data, or project files
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Trame platform
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers on the Trame platform without our express permission
- Introduce malware, viruses, or other malicious code
- Abuse AI features to generate spam, disinformation, or harmful content
- Process payments fraudulently or attempt to manipulate payment amounts
- Use Trame to harass, threaten, or harm other users or clients
- Violate any third party's intellectual property rights by uploading content you do not have the rights to use
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement.
Community — The Guild
Community Standards
The Guild is a professional community for creative freelancers and studios. Participation requires respectful, professional conduct. We maintain community guidelines that all members must follow.
Content You Post
You are responsible for everything you post in The Guild. By posting, you grant Trame a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your community content to other members as part of the service.
Moderation
Trame reserves the right to remove content, warn members, restrict participation, or ban users from The Guild for violations of community guidelines or these Terms.
Rooms and Recordings
Community Rooms are hosted on Jitsi infrastructure. Room recordings, where enabled by the room host, are stored in your Trame account. All room participants should be informed before recording begins. You must not record other participants without their consent.
Founding Member
The first 500 users to convert from the waitlist and complete account activation receive the Founding Member badge. This status is permanent and non-transferable.
Session Bookings and Calls
Booking Platform
Trame's session booking feature allows creatives to accept paid bookings from clients. Trame facilitates the booking and payment process. The session itself is a service provided by the creative to the client, not by Trame.
Cancellations and Refunds (Session Bookings)
You set your own cancellation policy for paid sessions. Trame enforces the policy you configure. Refunds for cancellations are processed back to the original payment method via Paystack and are subject to Paystack's refund processing timelines.
Call Infrastructure
Video and audio calls are powered by JaaS (8x8 / Jitsi). Call quality depends on internet connectivity and device capability. Trame does not guarantee call quality or uninterrupted connectivity.
Transcription Consent
If you enable call transcription, you are responsible for obtaining consent from all call participants before the transcription begins. In many jurisdictions, recording or transcribing conversations without consent is illegal. Trame provides the technical capability — compliance with applicable wiretapping and consent laws is your responsibility.
Integrations
Third-Party Services
Integrations with Figma, Google Calendar, Notion, Canva, and Adobe connect Trame to services operated by third parties. Use of these integrations is subject to the respective third party's terms of service and privacy policies. Trame is not responsible for changes to third-party APIs, pricing, or terms that affect integration functionality.
Integration Data
By connecting an integration, you authorise Trame to access the specified data from that service on your behalf. You may revoke any integration at any time from Settings → Integrations.
Availability
Trame does not guarantee that any specific integration will be available at all times. Third-party API changes may affect integration functionality without notice.
Waitlist
Waitlist Position
Waitlist positions are indicative and non-binding. Trame reserves the right to adjust waitlist positions, invite users out of sequence, or modify the referral system at any time.
Referral Programme
The waitlist referral programme awards position improvements for verified referrals. Fraudulent referrals (automated signups, fake email addresses, self-referrals through multiple accounts) will result in removal from the waitlist and disqualification from the referral programme.
Invitation Expiry
Beta invitations expire 7 days after issuance. Expired invitations may be reissued at Trame's discretion.
Warranties and Disclaimers
TRAME IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Trame disclaims all warranties including:
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Merchantability
- Non-infringement
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- Accuracy of AI-generated content
- Enforceability of AI-generated change orders or scope documents
- Guaranteed payment collection from your clients
- Guaranteed call quality or uptime
We do not warrant that Trame will be available at all times or that any specific feature will function without interruption. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain availability and notify you of planned downtime.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TRAME AND ITS FOUNDERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, clients, or business opportunities
- Damage arising from your reliance on AI-generated content
- Loss arising from payment disputes between you and your clients
- Damage caused by third-party integration failures
- Security breaches caused by your own failure to secure your account
TRAME'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO TRAME IN THE 3 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM ARISING.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Trame and its founders, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of Trame
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third party's rights
- Content you upload or create on the platform
- Your agreements and disputes with your clients
- Your violation of applicable data protection laws in relation to your clients' data
Termination
By You
You may close your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Closure does not entitle you to a refund of any prepaid subscription fees.
By Trame
We may suspend or terminate your account with or without notice for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Non-payment of subscription fees
- Fraudulent activity
- Abuse of AI features or platform resources
- Extended inactivity (Free tier accounts inactive for 12+ months)
- Any conduct we determine, at our sole discretion, to be harmful to the platform or its users
Effect of Termination
On termination, your access to Trame is revoked. Your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion, giving you time to request an export. Financial records are retained as required by law.
Survival
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive — including Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law.
Governing Law and Disputes
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Dispute Resolution
We strongly prefer to resolve disputes informally. If you have a concern, contact legal@trame.app and we will make a genuine effort to resolve it within 30 days.
If informal resolution fails, disputes will be submitted to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act (Nigeria). The seat of arbitration is Lagos, Nigeria. Proceedings will be conducted in English.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief from a competent court where immediate harm would otherwise occur.
Class Action Waiver
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to resolve disputes with Trame on an individual basis and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class action proceeding.
International Users
If you access Trame from outside Nigeria, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with your local laws. These Terms remain governed by Nigerian law regardless of where you access the service.
General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any applicable plan-specific terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and Trame regarding the service.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.
No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right. No waiver is effective unless in writing.
Assignment
You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. Trame may assign its rights to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Updates to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you by email and platform announcement at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of Trame after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
